Dear Reader, Have you heard of NeeDoh? If you have a pre-teen or teenager, you probably have. It's a squishy, satisfying stress ball type toy that has been around for years — and after going viral online recently, every kid suddenly needs one immediately. My daughter is turning 11 next month and it's at the top of her birthday list. I have called our local toy store. I have stopped by in person. I have been that parent. The young man who answered the phone sounded like he had fielded approximately 400 of these calls this week alone. The irony of someone who writes about decluttering and simplifying your home actively hunting down a trending toy is not lost on me. What it did remind me is that before something new comes in, something old should probably go out. My kids are mostly past the toy years but games, puzzles, stuffed animals and art supplies have a way of quietly taking over regardless. With summer and end of school year around the corner, it's a good time for a quick reset. → Here's my go-to guide for a simple toy declutter And if you do manage to find a NeeDoh — please let me know where! I'm still looking. Warmly, Macie |
I help busy families simplify their homes and lives by living with intention, creating simple systems and focusing on what matters most. Regular (but not overwhelming) emails with real stories and practical tips.

Already up and running in full force, that big colorful reminder that a new school year is right around the corner. I always feel a little relieved and a little sad when this time rolls around. My kids are growing up faster than I can keep...

My whole purpose here is to help families and individuals clear out stuff, create more breathing room and live with a little more intention. I value systems and routines that lower decision fatigue and make life at home easier. But lately I've been thinking about AI and what it means for all of this. Artificial intelligence is doing fascinating and incredible things. But honestly? I...
Hi Reader, No countdown here, just a personal note in case The Simple Home Reset has been on your mind. It is still available today at $17. I built this because I hear from so many of you and the same things keep coming up... I don't know where to start. I'm overwhelmed and overstimulated by it all. It's exhausting just thinking about it. I don't want to deal with the emotional side of letting things go. I'm scared I'll get rid of something I'll need someday. I get it. Every single one of...
